Front and back

We have now lived here for a year and we love it! Time goes so fast and we haven't done half of what we wanted to complete, but hey, we are living in a house and not a trailer so we are very greatful.

I just read all the comments from last year and thank you for your interest in our building process. I feel really bad since I just now realized I missed a class reunion last year and didn't even know it.

Stefan is still working on the house but this year the vineyard has priority. We have grass in the back yard and we planted some more trees so it's coming along.

Stefan finished the bar with flagstones and he did the final tile work in the bathroom and it all turned out very nice.

We still have a lot to do but I'm sure it's going to take a life time to finish.

We have moved in!

It is still a lot of work to do, but it is nice to finally be able to move in.

Fireplace and floors

We passed final inspection last week and we got power connected this week. Some flooring and tile job still need to be done and all the mouldings.

Lena is painting the trim green and I started to work on the stringers for the stairway

Stain the logs

We had a bunch of friends over this weekend to help us stain the logs. Thank you all for a fantastic job.

Cleaning logs

I have washed the logs with bleach and pressure washer so now we can stain the logs

We have windows and a front door!

Midsummer 2008

Help has arrived

Pelle, Johan, Jimmy, Tore and Tobias came over and helped Stefan with the house.
They installed windows and doors, built patios and did most of the electrical work.
Thanks to all of them for all the hard work, especially since it was so hot!
